Hog Out County Grants Program

According to the Texas Department of Agriculture, Texas is home to more than two million feral hogs - the largest feral hog population in the nation.  Dang!

TDA is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Hog Out County Grants Program which runs October - December 2011.  Discussion of program participation was on the September 12th agenda for Stephens County regular meeting (Item 11).  I do not know what the outcome was, but if we are participating, the county could win up to $20,000.

Looks like we've got plenty at our place!!

Cool Deer Pics

This is a fun series of pictures taken by the game camera in three-second increments.  You could almost make a flip-book out of them!
